Lutz Großmann spielt virtuos mit den Archetypen des Kaspertheaters und schickt sie durch die Fallstricke unserer Gegenwart. Das Publikum rechnet mit dem Schlimmsten – meist zu Recht – und hat dennoch ein diebisches Vergnügen an all den fatalen bis finalen Verwicklungen. Ein temporeiches Solo mit schwarzem Humor, doppeltem Boden und überraschender Tiefe. Nach über 20 Jahren auf der Bühne geht das Erfolgsstück nun auf Abschiedstournee. Deshalb in Magdeburg – wirklich zum allerallerletzten Mal – eine Art Dernière. Doch der Kasper wäre nicht der Kasper, würde er sich einfach so beerdigen lassen, ein für alle Mal. Kasper tot. Schluss mit lustig? Versprechen können wir das nicht.

The timing could not be more fitting: Kasper is in poor shape, plagued by doubt, and the curtain rises one final time. A web of the darkest intrigue is spun, and Kasper can only escape it by rediscovering his original powers – and breaking the curse of the scripted word. For when Death writes the script, life becomes… complicated.
Lutz Großmann masterfully plays with the archetypes of traditional Kasper theatre, propelling them through the pitfalls of the present day. The audience expects the worst – usually with good reason – yet takes wicked delight in the fatal, and all too final, entanglements. A fast-paced solo performance full of dark humour, double meanings, and unexpected depth.
After more than twenty years on stage, this celebrated piece is now on its farewell tour. And so, in Magdeburg – truly for the very, very last time – a kind of dernière. But Kasper wouldn’t be Kasper if he were to simply lie down and die, once and for all. Kasper dead. End of fun? We couldn’t possibly promise.
